Greek Red Cross
• On 22 May, in the crowded Peristilio of the Zappeion Mansion, 160 new volunteer Samaritans-Rescuers gave their vow of faith to the humanitarian and Red Cross ideal, and committed themselves to serving and defending the supreme values of volunteerism and aiding our suffering fellow humans, thus completing theirhighly demanding and extended trainingin the best possible manner, and being fully prepared to offer their services wherever need arises.
• The Greek Red Cross event was attended by representatives of the country’s civil and political leadership, as well as by organisations, agencies, and sports clubs with which the Samaritans-Rescuers Corp of the Greek Red Cross is closely cooperating.
